Lets talk about one of my favourite subjects, holidays!

Whether it’s a two week vacation to paradise or a long weekend away from the office, holidays are an excellent way to declutter our minds. We come back refreshed, revitalized and most importantly relaxed!

Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute

If you know you have a vacation coming up do not wait until the last minute to select your Answering Service. By taking your time and exploring your options you can ensure that you go with the company that is best for you.

Make Test Calls

If the Answering Service doesn’t handle their own business correctly, how can you be sure that they will be diligent when it’s your customers calling? The rule of thumb is 4 test calls, first in the morning, once during mid-afternoon, another in the evening and a final one anytime between 11pm-7am. If you wanted to get even more detailed you can choose to make these calls on a weekday, and another set on a weekend.

Understand What Is Important to You

Every Answering Service is unique, so understanding the services you really need them for is critical. Take Bilingual Services for example. Not every Answering Service will have in-house bilingual agents. If it is important to you that your Answering Service speaks fluent French then you will want to ask them if they use their own CSRs or if they outsource.

Make Sure They Have a Disaster Back-up Plan

If this winter has taught us anything, it is the importance of having a reliable back up plan. The Answering Service you select should at the very least, have back up generators in the event of a power outage.

No matter which Answering Service you choose make sure you are confident in your choice, they will be representing your business after all.
