AnswerPlus has never been like any other Canadian call center and I believe this is well established. We think, act and believe in values that are completely against the grain, for example we believe that our customers come third  and our virtual receptionists are our number one priority. (I won’t get into the details of why we believe this, you can read more about it here. ) So I’m sure it will come to no surprise to anyone that here we also celebrate Christmas in a different way.

I’m sure you are wondering how and why we do this. In short we do it because we believe it is the right thing to do.

On the last Friday before the Christmas holidays begin AnswerPlus in all offices have their Christmas potluck parties. I’m sure your wondering why we don’t have it either earlier, or later in the holiday season. Again, the answer is simple. Because it is the right thing to do.

I promise it makes sense, let me explain.

AnswerPlus is a 24/7 inbound call answering service, which of course means that while of our customers are enjoying their holidays our team members are hard at work, it is one of the busiest times of the year for us. But we believe that this busy season does not mean that our team members  should  go without. Instead we set aside the Friday before Christmas to celebrate, just as many offices do. We invite all of our team members to enjoy potluck, secret santa exchanges and yes, we even have team members dress up as Santa and take pictures with everyone.

While this may seem rather mundane for many offices, for an Answering Service it is completely against the norm. Yet, somehow AnswerPlus is able to celebrate and keep our high level of customer service during this time of celebration.

How do we do it? Simple, we plan & come together as a team. Our management team all come out and hand out secret santa gifts to our operators, our supervisory team come in on their days off to answer phones and yes, even our management team will answer the lines while out receptionists enjoy a very much deserved christmas potluck.

ps. management answering phones happens much more often then you’d think. We are a team and all of us from the top to the bottom know that our receptionists come first and if that means  answering the phone lines well simply put, you do it.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. Enjoy your down time, you certainly deserve it.
